February - Friendship
This month's Secret of the Heart is Friendship. The children will explore what it means to act friendly towards others, and how to nurture friendships. Lessons will focus on sharing oneself with others and seeing divinity in all people, those who are both similar and different than oneself. The children will learn that what they give to others is returned to them, and that acts of friendliness grow and attract more of the same.

February 5 - The Friendship Seed
Friendship starts with simple acts of sharing oneself, a smile or an act of kindness. Every day each person has the opportunity to plant seeds of friendship. Activities will help identify the characteristics and behaviors which nurture friendships and help them grow.

February 12- Be a Friend to Have a Friend.
The children are reminded that friendship begins with them. The children will learn that when they share themselves with others, God is expressing through them and as them. By living in their God selves they will attract friendliness and friendships into their lives.

February 19 - A Rainbow of Friends
This week the children are reminded to celebrate the differences of others. Each person is a unique expression of the divine and it each person's uniqueness that contributes to the beauty of the whole. Activities will help the children explore ways to create friendships which honor individuality.

February 26- A Circle of Friendship
This week the children are reminded that what they say, think and do comes back to them. The children will learn that one act of friendliness and kindness has the power to uplift many people and positively impact the world. The children will be reminded of the interconnectedness of all people.
